Same here! He won’t say a lot, and when he does, he is not consistent… is so frustrating 💔. Everyone keeps telling me that is normal, we speak 3 different languages at home, but he is not catching even one 🫠.
I don't know if it's within your means but you could look into private speech therapy if you want him to get some help now but he doesn't qualify for speech under early intervention.
@Korissa this looks awesome! I’d love to do something like this for my son. Where did you find the posters? We try not to do screen time unless I need a minute to myself or to get something like cooking dinner done. He doesn’t seem interested in anything on the tv unless it’s music. Doggyland is the ONLY thing that keeps his attention.
@JL do you know of any companies you recommend? I don’t mind paying for private speech therapy.
@Mercedes I would ask your local hospital or pediatrician. We pushed for private PT because our daughter hadn't taken her first steps yet at 15 months and we were able to get it in the same hospital network I gave birth at and our pediatrician is in. I'm not sure what's local to you, though :-(
My child had a few small words around 22-23 months - language explosion at two and now at three has pretty ‘advanced’ speech for his age - don’t worry till at least after 2
My little boy is 20months old and hardly says anything either, he says the odd few words but that's it
