Breastfeeding / bottle

Sometimes I wish I didn't choose the breastfeeding route. I thought I'd easily be able to combi feed but it's just not working. She won't really take the bottle of my milk or formula from anyone..she will take it from me occasionally and my partner but rarely. It's not the teat she just wants my boob. People who formula feed are lucky they can leave their baby with someone else so easily I feel. I wanted to do some KIT days with work but I just can't. She just depends on me 24/7 and it's so tiring now. My partner does watch her so I can do things while she is happy and when he is not working. I just don't know how I'm ever going to wean her off the boob I want to stop when she is one.

I think with her starting solids soon she may be quite open to some change, meaning she may come around the whole formula thing. But it could be the formula itself that she doesn't like, or the bottle (not the teat size but perhaps shape or feel altogether)?

@Nour Huda I hope so. She definitely doesn't really like formula as notice the difference when offer her it compared to my milk. I was adding a bit of my milk to it. She doesn't really hold/touch the bottle . I'm debating whether to just stop the bottle and try again in a couple of months.

What bottle brand do you use? Was it the case that she took it once or twice and stopped? Does she seem fussy when she actually takes it (you mentioned that she took it occasionally) or is she chill?

Have you heard of the breastfeeding mentor on Instagram? She has some really good tips for weaning off etc and she's really open to questions from anyone. Definitely look her up xx
