Independent naps

in the day. I don't get it because she goes down at night in her next to me and sleeps 11+ hours (I do put her down asleep). If she does nap Inthe day it is only ever less than 30 mins but will contact nap for 2.5 hours! 🙈 I want to start getting things done in the day and would love to be able to put her down!

Following as we are exactly the same! For a while i said as long as he sleeps at night then I don’t mind but it doesn’t make sense to me- my little boy even falls asleep on his own at night for a 10hr stretch but impossible in the day.

Same 😩

Yep exactly same here, I’m just doing 1 contact nap a day to make sure he at least has 1 long nap! 🤦🏼‍♀️ And he’s very hit and miss and night time too 🙃🙃 xx

Mine only naps 30 mins to an hour, but I don't think it is an issue yet because she is still having about 5 naps a day

Same! Absolutely no issues in his next to me at night, during the day contact naps only. I’ll be lucky if he lets me put him down for 5 minutes 🫠🫠 I love the snuggles but also so desperate for a moment to myself x

Mine will sleep in her bouncer for the morning nap but the rest are hit and miss. After her 16 week jabs I'm going to start putting her into the big cot for naps, so to also start training for the big move at 6 months. Don't think it'll be easy but perseverance!!

@Jazmine 😱 I was always told bouncers are dangerous for naps??

That's what I read but our health visitor recommended when she was round! Ours is suitable for newborn and I'm generally with her for the nap. I believe the concern was head slumping and breathing issues, at around 7 weeks she had good head control but I still monitor now at 3 months. Jx

Same.

@Jazmine yes my health visitor said the same. Positioning in a bouncer isn’t much different to be curled up in our arms she said!
