Refusing straw cup for milk (so refusing milk!)

Hello! We are trying to transition from bottles to a straw cup for milk. I read online that the mid afternoon bottle should be the first one to try and switch, so I tried it and she completely refused which meant she would then be one bottle down for the day. So I have two questions: 1) should I give her a snack instead when this happens or just build up hunger drive and try again in an hour? 2) any tips for helping baby take milk from a straw cup? She’s happy to take water from a straw cup, just not milk! Or is it just a matter of time and persistence? Any advice would be hugely appreciated.

So my LB doesn't drink milk or have bottles at all. I did talk to the HV about it in case it's an issue. And she said if he's not bothered then just make sure he's getting calcium from other daily items. So he has yogurt, then his bread has calcium in (milk roll) and we give him daily vits. If she's drinking water from a cup, then just let her drop that bottle and replace with a snack.
