How to stop crashing?

Hey so my baby’s nearly 4 weeks old and in the first week I was exhausted but had my husband do nights to help out and eventually I regained energy. The last 2 weeks though he’s gone back to work which starts early and is physically demanding so I’m now doing the baby full time (he helps out in the evening but in the main person caring for him now) Usually I sleep when the baby sleeps in the morning and I get up around 3/4 times a night with him. However recently I’ve started to feel exhausted again! I feel so exhausted I start to feel abit unwell my muscles start to ache and I get really lazy to the point I can’t even wash bottles because it’s just exhausting to be up and moving. On top of this I’m still bleeding through a full pad. Obviously at this point I need help so I come to my mothers where she can take him for a few hours and I’ll spend the day asleep but am I the only one this is happening to? How do I fix it? I’m trying to sleep when the baby sleeps and the last 2 weeks I was fine but why’s it suddenly caught back up with me? I feel so ill from exhaustion suddenly what do I do?? TIA x

The stage you’re in is so so hard but try and remember it’s temporary, you are definitely not the only one it’s something most mums will go through. It will get better! Your body’s still recovering from birth and birth is exhausting! You will feel better soon just keep going your doing great xx Also try and eat some good food might help give you some energy but i know thats so difficult when your exhausted xx

Haven’t got much advice, but hope it gets better soon! Maybe go to doctors and get a blood test? I went to the doctors couple months PP as my gallstones had got worse since I was pregnant/birth and they checked my blood and I was anemic. So needed iron tablets. If you’re tired and also bleeding through a full pad then it’s possible you’re low in iron making you tired x

Take a good quality beef organ supplement it keeps me on the ball even on sleepless nights and just gives you the nutrition that you probably aren’t getting from food, plus invest in a good quality baby carrier so you can do everything whilst baby is awake so you can sleep the other times

i would keep doing whatever you’re doing by sleeping when baby sleeps, but also make sure you’re giving your body what it needs. make sure your eating enough protein and iron and especially hydrate with water and electrolytes. my go to drinks and snacks were body armor and the natures bakery snacks. also, please take naps whenever someone else is home to watch baby. i know you might feel guilty about it, but your body cant sustain itself off of a few hours at a time because it’s constantly on high alert and stressed out. sleep when dad gets home and get a good 5 or so hours in on the weekends when he’s free or someone else you trust to watch baby is free
