We had to feed in a nearly pitch black room for a few weeks. We've gone back to normal now but it was the only way he'd drink anything. He'd point blank refuse downstairs and cry. Then id go upstairs and close the curtains, he'd neck the whole bottle. Babies will do what they want unfortunately.
In the same boat. I’ve even tried to spread his feeds out but he cries for his bottle after 3 hours and it’s most definitely a hunger cry but then he just plays about with. I do think teething is having a play on this as his gums are looking swollen but it’s been constant for weeks!
@Katherine He usually wants a bottle every 3-4 hours so I don’t think it’s that!
@Sophie It’s good to know I’m not alone, I just feel so deflated and it’s exhausting having a battle with him 4/5X a day 😩
@Chloe It’s awful isn’t it! I think my LO is teething as well so it might well be that!
A lot of babies get FOMO around this age and get distracted and want to see everything rather than feed! Definitely try feeding in a dark room.
@Lauren I’ll give it a go! Thank you!
How often are you feeding him? Could he just not be hungry enough?
