My youngest tried standing on the tops of his feet the first couple weeks he started standing. He grew out of it as he figured out where his feet were. If it's been going on for more than a month or so I would ask your dr to be sure
@Liv the midwife said he’ll try go on his toes but not the side of this feet 🤦🏼♀️ that’s my plan anyways to leave it a couple week, keep correcting him and see. That’s what the dr will Most likely say anyways x
If he carries on standing like that, he could end up with club foot would be my worry x
@Rachel he had something diagnosed at birth with his ankles funny enough! Going inwards, but the midwife examined a few months back and said he’s got all better, what do they do? I’d imagine they put they a cast on to force him to stand normally or? X
I would maybe talk with a doctor just to make sure everything is okay.
@Emily, yes, that would probably be what they would do if they think it is needed. Sometimes, they just stop doing it on their own, though. X
My baby did this and grew out of it by the time she started walking, a friend’s baby also did this and didn’t seem to be growing out of it, so her doc referred her to a physio and they just had to do some exercises with him until his foot straightened out. No harm in seeing your GP if you’re concerned ♥️
A lot of them grow out of this. Just keep redirecting for now that’s all you can do really. More than likely any health professional will want to wait to see if baby grows out of it. If you’re worried go back to the gp xx
Yesss my baby did this allll the time. It was always her left foot too. Her foot goes in slightly (this is pretty common with babies), but it has been getting better and does resolve as they grow. She has started walking and her foot has gotten a lot better.
Cute subconscious
That’s looks like club foot to me
My daughter had it in her left foot when she was young
@Kita how did it go away? What happened?
My daughter was like this until after she started walking it did eventually fix itself

My 7MO does this as well but I find she tends to do it when she’s tired of standing but is too stubborn to sit down. She was born with her feet inwards slightly due to her having “long legs” so that’s the was she was when in my uterus. All health professionals have said she will grow out of crossing her feet which she has gotten a lot better. I wouldn’t worry too much tbh I doubt he will get club foot and if the professionals aren’t concerned I wouldn’t worry too much. I just keep redirecting my daughter and try to get her to sit when I notice she is doing it.
No, that doesn't look normal. I would take him to see a doctor about that.
