Ultrasound

I had obstetric cholestasis during my first pregnancy which meant my bile acid levels would rise& I had severe itching with it, are they repeating bloods? Or just doing the scan? X

@Chloe I think they were testing for that but it's really worried me as nobody from triage has rang me about my bloods I've just had a call about an ultrasound on my liver from someone who's not medically trained to tell me what it's about x

I’d also guess that the scan is because they’re suspecting obstetric cholestasis. Do they use badger app where you are? Because all your blood tests are automatically uploaded on there. Or maybe give your community midwife a call to ask, it’s not ideal that they’ve just contacted you about an investigation without telling you why it needs doing! X

@Jules I've got the my lmft app but nothings been uploaded on there as of yet just the ultrasound thats been booked. I'd have thought they would have rang me to discuss my results first but they havent x

@Tasha yeah I would have thought the same, it’s really not ideal to not let you know! I’d follow it up with a phone call if I were you xx

@Tasha I’d try not to worry, if they were really concerned they would keep you in the loop& want you in there asap, I know it’s hard but try relax, are you quite far on? Maybe it’s showing your bile has went up abit and they’re maybe wanting to be 100% sure before giving you details, but honestly try not to worry Xx
