Crib training

Hey mommas! My LO is 6 months as of today! I wanted to see what your experiences with crib training so far have been like? Mine has slept in the bassinet attached to my side of the bed since birth and I still can’t imagine moving her to her own room. Have any of you made the switch yet and how did it go?? Pic for tax 😊

Happy half birthday to your little one! My little girl turned six months old on the 17th. She kind of not on purpose and ended up starting to sleep in her own room in her crib at about 5 1/2 months. She had been in a bedside bassinet by our bed since birth, then my husband was working on something one night and she went to sleep earlier than expected and I could not get through our living room to put her in our room so I laid her in her crib in her room and she slept all night. She slept in her room every night she wakes up to and I think I wake up more often with her than I did with her in the bedroom, but it’s going well.

Yess we made the switch from co sleeping to being in his own crib in his own room and it’s been great. I did watch alot of tiktok videos on tips of how to do a smooth transition and it’s been really great so far we did it when he was around four months.

@Kimi thank you!! Ugh the that’s one of the things I’m worried about. I sleep pretty well and she wakes up at a different time every morning but she’s always pleasant so if I’m not there right away she’ll probably be fine. I’ll probably be checking the baby monitor every hour 😅

Our boy has been in his own room since 4 months. He woke up so many times in our room from the TV or my husband. Then the sex life really got baf and my husband and i were always fighting. So my husband asked if we could put him in his own room the night of my birthday to 'properly give me the last birthday present' and not have to worry about me getting too loud. So we did and he's slept through since then. We give him a bottle or the boob and he falls asleep so we hold him in the living room for a while and then lay him in his room with white noise on. We have a red lamp on dim too so it's not completely dark. Thankfully we bought the owlet sock since we had 2 scares of him not breathing so I can check that to make sure everything is okay and the green light by my bed tells me he's okay. I know the alarm will wake me up as it's gone off once before.
