When to introduce a bottle to breastfed baby

I'm EBF my baby, he's currently 5 weeks old. I have expressed milk before and put it in my freezer, I've 7oz in total. I'm just wondering when I should introduce a bottle to him just to get him used to the idea of taking one as I don't want to have trouble on my hands when I'm not with him and he won't take a bottle? Any tips on giving him a bottle would also be helpful as I know it'll just flow without him sucking so I don't want him choking on it either 🙃

Asap cos once baby reaches 3 month they become smarter. Mine rejected every bottle. I gave up. No choice than to just breastfeed.

Yes defo asap, fingers crossed for you it’s not too late. They should latch on just as they will the breast, just make sure it’s the right teat for the age.

Yeah I wish I had done it sooner. My LO refused every bottle we tried. He eventually took Dr Browns and now Tommee Tippee. There are different size teats, the slow flow teats he will still need to suck xx

Thank you guys! I've got some slow flow teats, I'm going to try him with a bottle for his next feed. I'm anxious about it but if he takes both it's a win win😅 xx

We did it from day one 😊 I breastfed in the day and he had a bottle at night from his dad. While he was having the bottle, I expressed which gave me enough to stash some away in the freezer for his next bottle the following night.

ASAP. I did it at 3 weeks old so I could leave her with dad and family no issues. Get the smallest teat size I used 0 till she was 5 months x

Don't wait! We kept being told don't introduce until 6 weeks and then she wouldn't take one and never has (15months now) lol. So asap xx

He's just taken 3oz from a bottle what I had in the fridge. He was looking at me like this isn't nipple when I first tried him but after him playing with it in his mouth he eventually took it 🙌 xx
