Pyjamas vs clothes

My MIL and SIL are quite judgmental. Especially over parenting and the way I choose to parent my children. if we have no plans and aren’t expecting any guests, honestly I don’t rush to dress my kids (2 and 1). I allow them to stay in their jammies until we need to go out, or until someone’s is coming over. In my opinion, there’s no point to dirty more clothes and double the amount of washing. I also like to sit around in my comfy clothes you know, so why shouldn’t they? 😂 they’re still clean and bathed. If their clothes become dirty then yes obviously we get dressed. Anyway, my MIL just called me out on being lazy and unorganized because she made an unannounced visit and we are all in pjs. Just wondered if I’m the only one who does this and I actually am just lazy? 😂 I thought this was normal!

Your MIL needs to mind her own business and piss off in my opinion. I bought pj's for my little girl to wear through the day if we don't go out. She has her sleepsuits for night time and pj's for day time. Like you said, why bother getting fully dressed to lounge around the house?

My LB is 13 months old and he has babygows on still when at home and if just nipping on the school run as I just love baby grows and it’s nice and comfortable for him. My daughter who is 8 loves getting her pjs on as well and having pj days. I like to be in my comfy pjs too so why shouldn’t they be comfortable like me? There’s nothing lazy about it!x

I have a 3yo and 1yo and we don’t always get dressed if we’re not going out/not having any visitors. Like you say, it’s just sometimes a waste of clean clothes if you don’t need to go out! Even I still have days where I’ll just be in my comfies, especially if I’ve got housework to do!

As a family, if we're not going out we don't always get dressed 🤷🏻‍♀️😂

I totally do this 👋 my house, my baby, my rules x
