Fasting

So normally I wake up around 7-8am. My fasting numbers are normal if I wake up then so 95 or below. But for any reason I wake up at like 6 or before, for work or anything else it’s like 103. Is that normal? Will they put me on medication for that?

Yes normal the less sleep u get or if you didn't sleep good can mess with sugars and you have to have more than one high reading to be put on medication at least thats how it was for me

Some women actually have spikes during fasting my NP told me it was something to do with how the placenta is processing the sugars, I have fasting numbers of 138 sometimes, it’s crazy especially when I didn’t eat anything carb loaded the night before

I’m in the UK but they say that it is best to give 12 hours for the fasting reading. So I don’t usually do my testing until 8-9am which is around the time the evening before that I had dinner
