Baby measuring small

I’ve just had my midwife appointment, I’m 36 weeks but my baby is measuring small and I’m being booked in for a scan, should I be worried?

Don’t worry! They can’t see what baby is doing in there and at the stage you are at position of baby effects it so much! Sending love!

Is it your bump that's measuring small? Take it with a pinch of salt, it's not a great indicator of how big the baby is

No don’t worry at all my bump is measuring behind but baby is 79th percentile absolutely fine! Xx

I’ve been in 3 times now, even said I’d dropped to the 10th centile… Turns out baby is much larger than average, my bump is just small! Even the ultrasound technician said measuring bumps is a very archaic and unreliable way to know what baby is up to ☺️ Either way, even if baby is smaller, do not worry yourself - you’ve come this far and have lots of professional support, it’ll be the perfect size baby for you xx

Please do not be worried. I'm 36 weeks and I've had two growth scans so far as my baby's measurements are all over the place! Midwife measures my bump big (97th percentile) and the two growth scans I've had have placed baby on the 10th percentile. I had a follow up with a consultant, they are not worried. I have a further growth scan at 37 weeks and consultant follow up at 38 weeks. Think of the growth scans as an extra bonus that you get to see your baby again 🥰 x
