If your babies are napping, how long for?

Wondering whether we need to shorten our nap as night sleep has gone shocking, but he definitely still needs a decent length or he's so grumpy

Currently going through this with my little one. If she doesn’t nap/naps for a short amount of time, she is so grumpy and then falls asleep in the car. If she naps too long, she’s then up really late 🙃🙃 I have no advice but you aren’t alone!

Hi my little one can go for around 2 -2 and half hours over lunch. Then he goes to bed about 7pm wakes in the morning between 6.30 -7:30 xx

Tends to be 1.5 hours now. We used to get a little longer but this seems length seems to have stuck for a while now x

We cap it at 1.5 hours and she goes down between 12 and 12.30. Any longer and it impacts night sleep. We also can't have her nap end after 2pm or bedtime becomes super difficult (doesn't matter if we move bedtime a bit later) 🙃

@Denice thank you this is helpful. We already cap it at 2pm so thankfully no bedtime battles (usually 8pm ish). He was doing 8-6 with maybe no wakes but lately has been up every hour and it's not illness or teeth! He tends to do 1h40 to 2hmax so may try capping at 1h30 consistently

Still on one nap a day around midday-ish for about 1.5-2 hrs

@Stephanie hope it helps! Even her nursery is waking her after 1.5 hours. It's really made a difference for us. Whenever she sleeps more than this she'll wake during the night and it's so difficult getting her back to sleep. She'll just stand in her cot holding onto all her teddies and call out for us 🥴

@Denice nursery know to wake him by 2 so he typically has 1h40 there anyway, but at home can do 2hrs as we put him.down a bit earlier. Hoping it's just a phase as hourly wakes seem a lot for just a bit extra nap

Nap is 1 hour normally but will sometimes let her sleep 1.5 hours. If we let her nap longer then she’ll not sleep at night x

Zero napping here unless we are in the car which is 30 mins max 😵‍💫
