Refusing breast

My 12 week old has suddenly started refusing the breast and I’m devestated. I have ruled out…. Tounge tie reattchment as she was born tounge tie and we had it corrected at a week old I have tried many positions rugby ball, standing, across my body, skin to skin, sitting and facing me, I have tricked her with a bottle first and then got her to latch which worked for a bit but now dosnt Her latch is fine when she is on She is in a pelvic harness so I don’t think that’s helping her. I keep blaming myself for giving her a funny and bottle feeding. Dummy was introduced just over a month ago and bottle when she was a week old for a one off feed I feel like I just need to accept that I just need to give her breast milk from a bottle to make it stress free for both of us and I am being selfish by trying to breast feed when she clearly dosnt want to. Anyone else been in this situation I feel like I’m tourturing myself

Hey! It’s normal at this stage! It’s called nursing strike! I would suggest to stop offering it when she gets upset, change the scenery and try again after a few minutes. My LO did the same and occasionally keep doing it and never took a dummy. Of she keeps refusing to tale the breast i would offer a bottle and try again later. And a lot of skin to skin. Hang in there mum.

How long did it last for you, she has been like this for nearly 2 weeks. She stared off being fussy on the breast but would still latch. Then she would have 10mins and refuse. Then it was she would only feed in the night and now it’s not at all

Hey kerrie so sorry you’re going through this , I sadly experienced similar.. my baby was combi fed and was doing so well with breast and bottle , around 15weeks she started refusing breast completely, I have now decided fed is best and was getting so upset she was refusing breast, she’s now mainly formula fed however I still try to offer boob before feeds mainly just comfort now ☹️ so upset my bf journey has ended
