Sleep

I am so frustrated tonight. My son is 4 months old and just will not go to sleep at a decent time. It takes forever to get him to sleep. The only way he will go to sleep is if I hold him until he’s asleep. Half of the time that doesn’t even work. I go into the room with it dark and his sound machine playing, I try to make his sleep environment as peaceful as possible. As soon as I put him in his crib he is waking up screaming, I will even wait until he is in a deep sleep. He will not go to sleep by himself. It’s starting to become so draining and I hate bedtime because I know every night is going to be a struggle and a fight. Any suggestions on how to make bedtime smoother or to even help him go to sleep by himself???

You’re not alone on this. I’m struggling too.

This is the 4 months sleep regression unfortunately nothing you can do but try to stick to a routine or co sleep 🤷🏻‍♀️ my LO has been at it for weeks now! he finally will nap decently during the day but nights is every 2 hours or less.

My baby boy is going through the same thing it’s called the 4month sleep regression. What time do you put him to bed and what’s the routine like? do you give him a bath before bed and read a bedtime story to him, sometimes taking him for a walk if it’s not too late or do tummy time w them to get all the energy out

Mine sleeps for 6-7 hours at least a night bc I have him on a routine I also use a hatch rest w red light and white noise which he is used to and it really helps
