T21 likely diagnosis

I took the NIPT when I was pregnant (also our first child) and also got a 95% risk factor and confirmed it through a blood test after he was born (they took blood from the cord). I completely understand the fear of the unknown. It took me almost my entire pregnancy to come to terms with it and grieve the life I had pictured in my head. We had a name picked out before we got the results and we ended up changing it because it just didn't feel right anymore + God laid it on my heart to name him Daniel as a reminder to keep our faith strong. What you're feeling is normal and okay. I just want you to know that the down syndrome community is amazing and kind and generous. There's been nothing but love from other T21 families. I would be happy to talk to you and meet you wherever you're at with your feelings. You're an amazing and strong mama ❤️
