Sudden constant urge to pee
So I’m 6 weeks postpartum from a vaginal delivery with a second degree episiotomy and labial laceration. The stitches seem healed now (I had some granulation tissue that was treated with silver nitrate). Suddenly, this new symptom started yesterday where I have this constant urge to pee even when I don’t have to go. I also am having bad back pain, which I’m guessing means my period is coming. So that’s probably unrelated but I don’t know for sure.
I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced this? It’s seems strange that a new symptom would start now. I thought maybe it could be a UTI but I don’t have any other UTI symptoms.
Has anyone else had this happen? Any insight is appreciated!

YES!!!! It’s odd because it only happens when I’m on the toilet and peeing if that makes sense. So I’ll pee, then feel like I have to sit there for like 10 minutes getting little bits of more pee out before I’m done.

I am 6 weeks and 5 days postpartum, and at right around 5 1/2-6 weeks I thought I had a UTI because I was also feeling the need to pee very suddenly MULTIPLE times throughout the day. I went and had my urine tested and it came back negative for everything, which means no UTI. My OB was stumped though, had no idea what was wrong with me. The symptoms only lasted 2 days though so I don’t know what it was fr 👀🤷🏾♀️
