A play pen is not worth buying

I bought my daughter a play pen when she was around 6 months old, but I can only recall a handful of times where I actually used it, lol. Now it sits in the corner with miscellaneous stuff in it

I have used it for the cabin and vacations, day at nanas. Worth it for us

I agree my son only used the pack and play & the big playpen for like 6 months. But now I just keep the pack and play at my moms if I ever need to drop him with her or do an over night. I might use the big playpen to block my Christmas tree off from him this year though so he doesn’t destroy it/break all the ornaments & tear open gifts lol.

Our house is tile so we’re always using our playpen. My son loves it and so do we!

I love my play pen. Keeps me from chasing toys all over the house

Totally worth it for us. We got a pack n' play with a bassinet attachment that she slept in for 3 months. I could bring the bassinet downstairs with me (well, my husband did, because I was recovering from a C-section), and have her sleep in whatever room I happened to be in. After she outgrew it, she slept in the bottom part of the playpen in our bedroom since there wasn't enough room lengthwise for the crib. Now that she sleeps in the crib, we use it as bed whenever we travel, and I use it in my living room constantly as a baby jail when I need her to stay still for 10 minutes so I can do the dishes and use the bathroom. Absolutely worth the purchase!

I bought a pack n play and she hated it. But I did buy a giant play pen for her to have her bed in and she likes it and naps in there. I don't use it as a play pen

@Kylie that's what im thinking about doing

We never used a playpen. The packnplay was always in its cover in the garage for when we go on trips. As for the house he’s always just crawled and followed me around doing house chores and I babyproofed what I needed

I’ve never used the playpen for is intended use. I put the ball pit in there but leave the door open so they can come in or out. My son lost his mind the day I tried to lock him in.

Ours had a bassinet, so we used it the first few months. After that it was for trips when we needed a baby bed, bit used in the home

I had a giant play pen for my daughter which she loved but got rid of it when she got to big/older for it

We were gifted on, and never used it

I agree, I think it depends on the temperament of your child though. Mine would scream and cry if she was in a pen and not up my ass, so pointless.

Never used one

My son HATES his, ended up taking down the sides and leaving the other just to protect him from the bookshelf but when it’s fully up he refuses to stay inside

Ours was amazing…for 3 months. And then she was walking and that was it. But it was well worth it for those 3 months.

I got a big 150x150cm playpen for my girl because we have a dog and my mum won't let me use it because it's in the way. So I put the mat on the floor that takes up the same amount of space. I loved the playpen because everything could go in it and be out of the way and she could be safe in it when I'm not in the room and when she's a toddler she can go in and out as she pleases and have her own space
