Sleeping in his own crib

My baby is about to be 7months and cosleeps with us… but today I got him to sleep in his own crib for nap time! He cried for like 20-25 mins (not hysterical or anything, more of just a small cry which is why I let him cry… if he gets hysterical or starts getting more aggressive cry I always pick him up and give up on putting him in his own bed) but he finally did it today! Now trying again tonight (my back needs it big time) but his little cry still breaks my heart! 😭💙 Anyone else struggle with the getting baby to sleep in their own space? Any helpful suggestions?

U have to be consist with ur baby sleeping in his crib I was like that too it broke my heart to hear my son cry when he was 7 months u just have to be strong and consist with him

I understand as sometimes I feel I would do it myself even if I believe it is not natural when so small baby who barely understands anything needs to cry so heavily. I also put my baby for the naps to the bed once fallen asleep. He sometimes protests but then after 2-3 minutes holding and nursing I put her again and then she usually falls asleep. They have nobody but us now and the need of intimacy and bond is one of the basic one, as basic as feeding and caring. I keep the fingers crossed for you and your baby any decision you will take :)

What also might work and it is more gradual method is sleeping ladder method. Nevertheless I can see it varies between version I know and the American one :p
