Feeding help

I exclusively breast fed on demand for 7 months. I just returned to work and am now pumping and I’m having such a hard time figuring out how much milk my baby needs. Advice??

My baby is 7 months as well and she takes about 5 ounces every 3 hours ! But I also give my baby purées a couple times a day My pediatrician said that breast bed babies rarely need more than 5 ounces at a time because our milk matures to what they need and has more fat and calories as they get older !

Woah!!! 🤯 that’s a fact I never knew my first time.

Assuming ur baby eats solids or purée and you are giving them one once of water or juice they only need about 10 onces a day based on how many times you feed and how long my baby feeds 6 times a day for 35/40 min so on the day I work I pump 16 once’s to sleep breastfed babies usually seek comfort of the mom so they typically drink more

I wouldn’t say that’s necessarily true ! Milk should still be the main source of food until they are a year even if you’re doing purées ! My baby drinks 1-2 ounces of water and has 2-3 purées during the day and she still drinks 20-25 ounces of milk a day !
