Mums who drive- do any of you drive with baby in the front seat?

I’ve recently started driving again and nervous about it anyway but to top it off my little boy HATES being in the car, especially in the back by himself. Usually it’s my husband driving so when he starts playing up I just jump in the back. I’ve only done short journeys driving on my own with him so it’s not been that bad, but tomorrow I’ll be doing an hour or so journey and I’m feeling kinda nervous about it anyway but especially because it stresses me out when he’s kicking off back there and I can’t really do anything about it. I was thinking to turn off the air bags and put him in the front with me but I’m feeling 50/50 on it because even though it’s legal I read it “isn’t recommended”

I’ve got twins and on the very rare occasion where I’ve taken just one out I’ve always put them in the front with me. They hate the back but in the front they’re so happy and content.

Hey! My son doesn’t mind being in the back but if we’re doing a long drive (1hr30+) I will put him in the front seat; he likes going in the car so this might not be the most helpful but it gives me peace of mind in the front! Just make sure to turn off the airbag & if you’re moving the seat back into the back, put it back on xx They say not recommended as it is safer for them in the back. But they are allowed to sit in the front so if it’ll make you more comfortable don’t worry too much about that xx Hope this helps a little 🫶

Thanks guys! My husband is saying I’ll be too distracted looking at him if he’s in the front but I have a little mirror attached to the headrest at the back so I’d defo be watching that much more 😂 think I’ll have him in the front!

depends what seat your baby is in, check your seat is allowed in the front - i’m not sure if all are🤷🏼‍♀️ we’re still using our infant carrier and i aim to put her in the back but if i know she’s potentially going to be unsettled then she comes in the front but 9/10, she’ll fall asleep happily in the back x
