2 to 1 nap transition

Hey all, I’m just wanting your experience with when your LO went to 1 nap. I feel like this will be difficult because it’s a massive chunk in the middle of the day for nap time. How do you deal with this if you want to go out for the day? Have to make it home for nap time? My girl won’t nap longer than 30-40 mins in the car (or pram), so obviously this won’t be enough for the whole day for when she gets to the stage to transitioning to 1 nap. At least with 2 naps we could go out in the morning and she have a short car nap on the way and then just make it home by the afternoon for a decent one, or vice versa, has a good nap at home and then we go out from lunch time and she can just nap in the car on the way home.

We either go out for the morning or afternoon or both. If bub falls asleep in the car, I just transition him to the cot when we get home.

If we're out and bub hasn't slept well in the first nap then she will take a second nap but bedtime will still be the same

We mostly go out in the morning, home for her nap and then potter around the house in the afternoon, sometimes go grocery shopping. If we’re heading out for a day I’ll time the drive to be mid morning and she’ll usually fall asleep and then return home afternoon and she’ll sleep again. It’s usually only 30 minutes each way but that seems to be enough if she’s able to catch up on sleep the next day
