Hey, do you always put him to sleep in the pram in the day?
@Fatima no, if he sleeps when we go for a walk around the block I leave him in his pram, most of the time I put him to sleep in his pram as I have lack of space so we keep the pram in the living room, I have occasionally put him upstairs for naps in his next to me! Should I push for the naps in the next to me more?
@Kelsey honestly 🙈 like I just gave him his last feed downstairs, came upstairs put him in his next to me with his red light/white noise (I don’t use these for day naps) and he got himself to sleep🙈 where am I going wrong in the day?!xx
We have the same issue- sleeping well at night and difficult during the day. I have found that when I put her down and she opens her eyes I rock her body with my hand on the cot mattress rather than picking her up. Sometimes stroking her forehead towards her eyes so they close. Seems to work now but has taken a few weeks to perfect.
Same problem we have 😣 he is sleeping during a day very good but at night struggling with sleeping. Before he was sleeping at 9 pm always. Now 11😰
The best way to get baby to have long nap is by replicating nighttime environment, so the same things are associated with sleep. Put him in the same room he sleeps for the night, have the curtains drawn, white noise on, sleeping bag or blanket etc. When you put baby down put bottom down first then lower head and legs. Keep one hand on head and other hand patting chest gently then slow down the pats eventually stopping. Remove hands if they stir put your hands back and remove then slowly. Give it a try worked with both of mine
Same here!!! I'd love to know what others have done, or if it's just the 4-month sleep regression that we have to wait it out for?
