Toys

These are all the toys my baby has. I feel super insecure when I see or hear how many others have. Is this enough? Thanks

I think that’s a nice selection of toys ☺️I learnt with my eldest that they don’t need many. Current lo has mostly hand me downs and a few wooden Montessori toys but not a huge amount at all over all. My lo prefers to be on the move or trying to play with the tv remote lol 😂

Absolutely enough, my daughter has 3 kallex boxes full that’s it , one for electric interactive toys , one for rattles / chews and one for teddy style / comforters

Looks amazing! Some babies have nothing 🙏🏻♥️They really dont need much. In our day it was a few toys and banging a pot with a wooden spoon lol!

She then has teddys and books on a little book case x

I read somewhere that babies should not have more than 4 toys to play with at a time, because they can get overwhelmed and not being able to focus on one. So I hide most of the toys and then I rotate them. This way they also develop their imagination because they come up with different games to entertain themselves. My little one one day was playing a basketball type game with a ball one day that he came up completely on his own, I was amazed! P.s. You have a great selection!

Yes we learnt today at an nct that babies don’t need loads of toys as your talking/narrating your life etc is much better for their development

Do toy rotation! Put out about 4 at a time. (Put away the rest) Keep the same ones for a week or two then switch them. It’s the best !

Totally enough. I worked in a nursery many years ago and babies were happy playing with jam jar lids and plastic spatulas.

Yup that's a good amount! Enough to do rotations even. That's around how much my kid has at 11 months (plus a pile of squishmallows that are mostly display items for now) but his favourite toys seem to be mamas coasters and Tupperware lids. Kids play with what they've got, they don't always need or sometimes even want what people think of as kid toys. Sometimes a Tupperware lid really is the best possible toy. ESPECIALLY if they're told to leave it alone first lol

We have loads of toys mostly because I have a 3 year old we've been collecting toy for 3 years. However we literally only have 8 toys out at a time

That’s a great amount ! Honestly I wouldn’t worry! Too much isn’t always the best for them
