Regardless it’s not in your control lol. That baby will be in whatever position they want to be in. Try focus on things you can control or have more control over as that can help with anxiety e.g learning about pain management, pain relief options etc so you can make the most informed decisions if you struggle with the pain regardless of what position baby is in
Head down is most important and the baby moves with your body and gravity to work their way out. It's only more difficult when the baby is back to back, so their spine is against your spine that can be more painful. But it sounds like your baby is in a great position but there are positions you can adopt over the next couple of months to ensure baby is in a good position. Have a look at spinning babies
Thank you so much girls! That gives me more reassurance! I’ll have a look at spinning babies as you’ve suggested @Hannah , I’ve never heard of it!
In my antenatal class they demonstrated how baby would move during labour and birth and it seems like they kinda rotate themselves as they move lower down - sure it’s a lot more sciencey than that but I think they generally will try and get themselves into the best position
@Laura I hope so, that was not mentioned on our NCT classes that’s why all of my doubts! But I’m glad that info was passed to you and you shared with us, it’s definitely helpful and calms my nerves a little lol hopefully our babies will know how to make an entrance into this world 🌍 thank you so much ✨
@Laura oh uau this is very interesting, I guess they will move around during labour hopefully! But thank you so much for sharing with me, it’s super interesting! I think my baby is ROT at the moment (at least from the last scan) but I’ll ask my midwife in the next appointment as well
Head down is best, which yours is. your baby knows what they are doing and if they're back to back, left or right, usually they will get into a good position during labour. So don't worry too much .
