Free time in the evening...not!!

Well not quite free time ....once my LO is off to bed at 7pm, I think phewww I have some free time to myself and sort out the dishes and clothes, watch netflix, check my socials etc as I spend the whole day glued to the baby he doesn't even like it when I'm on the phone or open up the laptop as he thinks its fun to either throw my phone or press any random laptop keys. Anyway the phone rings and I get chatting speaking at my ultra lowest voice, I then hear some mumblings upstairs and he is sitting straight up in bed only just putting him down calmly no fuss 20mins ago! I was just laughing to myself that I can't even get to speak when he's asleep, and questioned whether this is really free time, I only have a few hours to bed time myself before I'm totally zzzd out!!😅😅😭😭😵‍💫😴

I was only thinking this to myself today, how anything I want to do for myself including showering has to be done in “my time” which is fine and expected but sometimes a lot as I’m always on listen out incase my son wakes so I’m never fully relaxed. I really don’t want to wish away time but I can’t wait for the day he just wants to play in his room alone 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Is dad present so he can have bubs whilst you do what you need to do? I'm quite lucky and I can get stuff done whilst she's awake and when she naps Is when I mop up, I will have a bath around 6pm and dad stays with her for 30 mins so they get time alone for a little bit then when she goes to bed I go to bed also so I have a few hours to watch TV etc

@Kate dad went away a few weeks ago to look after his mum, so its just me, but when he is usually around he is doing bath time, feeding and is really helpful, it's been a journey as the day seems longer without dad being here at the moment😅
