Bump measurement?

I’m probably just being paranoid lol but curious all the same I had my bump measured at 27wks (now27+3) and it was 25inch which they said was normal but I’m over paranoid after being told by my midwife I should have 1 inch for every week gestation 😪 I have an actual midwife appt next week so she’ll be able to advise me better and measure my bump again as I’ll be 28wks then but just thought it was weird? At 23wks my bump was 23inches and now I’m 27wks and it’s 25? Just makes me nervous I guess

They’re not all that accurate sweet, I had my first one done at my 28 week and it was measuring 28inches, but I was told they’re not always accurate. If they’re concerned they’ll have you scanned anyway to make sure baby is measuring correctly 😊x

@Liene it was just weird being told 2 different things 😂 my regular midwife said 1 inch per week gestation and then the triage midwife that checked me on Saturday said to allow 3inch either way 🥲 First baby so overly paranoid about every little thing atm 🫠

@Lucy oh god yeah the paranoia does set in!! I’m the same haha, I’m having my first too so anything they tell me even if it’s only slightly negative I overthink! It’s just a normal part of being a mumma to be😊don’t stress too much, textbook is an inch a week but there is a little leeway as we all grow slightly quicker or slower than others 😊 and some of us have longer torsos than others 😊

@Liene it’s been so bad 😂 I’m 28 weeks on Saturday and it’s just starting to kick in that I’m actually having a baby 🥲 tbf I have anterior placenta as well so my bump looks so small compared to most but hes starting to bulk out now 😂

@Lucy oh bless you! I’m 30 weeks on Thursday haha😂it does settle in the further we get along I think, the 30 week mark I’m like holy crap… he could come at any point now 😂😂 funny you say that, I have an anterior too! But loads of people were saying they couldn’t feel anymore movement before 24 weeks but I felt little dude at 16 weeks, did you have the same? X

@Liene I’m hoping it starts to settle a little as I already have anxiety so this isn’t helping 😂 yes! So many people said that I wouldn’t feel him at all but I started feeling him at 17wks literally the day after we found out he was a boy 😂 now he acts like a footballer pretty much 24/7, ive just got to the point where he pushes his foot so hard against me that i can see his foot 💀

Honestly I wouldn’t worry about it, my first pregnancy I didn’t really have any bump, I had growth scans every 2 weeks from being 20 weeks and she was born at 8lb full term 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️ no one knew where this 8lb baby had been hiding! I’m now 28 weeks with my second and again no bump, I’ve got my first measurement tomorrow with the midwife so I’m pretty sure I’ll be going for a growth scan 😂😂

I’m 27 weeks and mines measuring 35 🤣 you’re all good. You were told an average but every baby and body is different

I've heard they're really not accurate so I wouldn't worry too much!
