Milk during the night

I know some babies are sleeping through the night but for those that aren’t, do you give your baby milk when they wake? My baby is up twice a night and each time I give milk but I’m going to try give them cuddles instead to see if that helps

I do, I feed to sleep for every wake up (unless I’ve only fed 10mins earlier then I’ll rock back down). I’d rather sit peacefully snoozing and feed for 15mins than put in the effort to rock back down 😴 Also I’m keen to get him quiet as quickly as possible as he shares a room with his sister and I don’t want that can of worms to deal with in the night 😂 I fed my daughter to sleep and she started sleeping through the week I went back to work at a year (hopefully little boy will be the same 🤞), she then started waking when I was pregnant and I wished I still had the ‘feed to sleep’ super power then 😂

Yep! He’s not waking because I give him milk when he wakes, but putting him on the boob will not only deal with the wake ups that are because of hunger but the ones where he just wants comfort/reassurance too, and I can be half asleep whilst I do it. Win win!

I always nurse in the night when my baby wakes

My baby wakes 1-2 times a night during her ‘normal/good’ phases lol ie not bad teething or sleep regression, but she hasnt had an overnight bottle since she was 3.5 months- she settles fairly quickly in my arms or with her dummy- if she wouldnt settle or gave hunger cues I would obviously make her a bottle but thats never been the case all these months!

Mine is 9 months old and doesn’t accept a pacifier. I nurse her for almost every night wake. It’s “easy” for me (relatively speaking) and also so calming for her, so I would not want to take that away from her before she’s ready.
