Downstairs Sleeping?

Our baby is currently only 11 days old but I’m wondering where he’ll sleep downstairs once he’s outgrown his moses basket as that’s what we currently have in the living room. I’ve seen that bouncers aren’t safe and don’t want to take him upstairs every time he needs a nap. Thanks!!

Pram bassinet can be used for supervised sleep, some can be used for overnight. We bought a cheap co-sleeper to replace the moses basket.

Once out little one outgrows the Moses basket, we hope to move naps upstairs and use the baby monitor and check on her periodically xx

We have a travel cot in the living room for him

We did contact naps, either cuddled on sofa or wearing him in a baby carrier. Then slowly transitioned to sleeping upstairs in cot for naps to get him used to it for night time sleep. Or if we’d gone for a walk and he’d fallen asleep then he’d stay asleep in the pushchair bassinet :)

My girl was in Moses basket until she was like 5 months I think. You could use a play mat on the floor. Pram bassinet.

We have a travel cot that has a bassinet attachment x

My first had a bassinet but hated it and ended up contact napping mostly so I didn’t bother with the basket for my second. Number 2 is a better sleeper, so I bring baby upstairs for naps. It’s not as much of a chore as you’d think - babies nap less as they get older so there’s less back and forth than there would be at day 11 ☺️

We used a compact travel cot (joie kubbie) but tbh I started naps in cot upstairs around 5/6mths

We used the Chicco hug air 4 in 1 for downstairs which had plenty of space and lasted her a really long time and also went into high chair for weaning! If you don’t want to spend a lot of money on something else I would just contact nap which we also did a lot too or like above said use a travel cot :)
