@Alicia the ones that are larger, do they end up going away or do those have to be removed? And how was your recovery after getting it removed?
Mine got to 5 cm and I had to have surgery i was having pain. They checked it by ultrasound for a few months. I was told they can burst on thier own and it cn be painful but they will reabsorb
Some go away on their own, some do not. Mine went away on its own and was likely related to pregnancy hormones. Maybe pcos is similar. My sister had a cyst that twisted around her fallopian tubes then I believe it burst causing her to require her tubes to be removed.
I have one that is 5cm (it was 3.9cm when they found it in July, second scan was 1 October) and didn’t have any discomfort til recently. Going for a repeat ultrasound in November and if it’s grown again it’ll be removed
I had one and it went away on its own
Cysts go away on their own. However... The amount of pain is relevant for the doctor to know. Are you able to walk, talk, think, move when you get the pain? I had a cyst that didn't go away, and was the size of a softball on my ovary. It was incredibly painful. I needed surgery. Find a gyno that you feel like listens to you and also has really great reviews.
They usually go away on thier own and you don't feel them normally unless they get larger. I've had to have one removed after it got large but that was after months of monitoring. They normally just go away on thier own
