Walking

Is anyone little one walking yet? Everyone in my family and even my bf (not my son’s dad) keeps reminding me that my son can’t walk yet and it makes me feel like a horrible parent. I figured he would just start walking when he was ready to. I’ve bought all the “ready to walk” toys and so far he just likes to stand up and crawl a little bit. Like I’m a first time mom so I don’t really know what I’m doing😭

Every baby is different and the range is from 9 months to 18 months. The average walking age is 12 months. Don’t be hard on yourself when he’s ready he’s going to walk. My baby is already walking and I have not relaxed ever since so don’t rush it.

A lot of babies don’t walk until after they are a year old!! You’re doing great, and when he’s ready and strong enough to walk, he will! My LO isn’t walking yet either.

My baby isn't even standing independently yet! They'll crawl when they're ready. Most of our friends babies didn't walk until right around 1!

My first walked at about 13mo, it comes on their time you really can't do anything to force it. My almost 10mo is standing and crawling, no walking.

Get rid of the family and bf lol jk. It's completely normal to not walk yet. Don't let their opinion beat up your self esteem. I'm sure you're doing a fine job! Offer baby the resources, and freedom to play/crawl and he will learn on his own time!

No way everyone is at different phases there’s no time line set in stone of when and where they should be doing things. I think people are way too hard on kids these days.

boys usually walk later than girls. I saw my friend baby girl walked already at 10 months and made me feel bad BUT i keep reminding myself that my husband walked at 14 months so did my 2 nephews. Every baby different.🥹

Every baby is different! My girl just turned 10 months two days ago and she’s not even close to walking. She crawls all the time, stands (only while holding something) and walks along furniture, but when I stand her up and let go of her hands, she plops down and doesn’t want to stand alone. She also has horrible balance still and drags her feet when walking with her baby walker. She will be ready when she’s ready! You’re doing everything right and I’m sure you’re a great mom. He will be running around before you know it, just let him do his thing 🩷
