First pregnancy please help!

Hey all, I tested positive on the 2nd of October and I think I roughly ovulated around the 19/20th of September, my last period was the 28th of August so all the apps and docs are saying I’m 7/8weeks but I went for an early scan last Wednesday due to having some bleeding and they’ve said they can only see the gestational sac, no yolk sac so I must be much earlier- I would make it 4 weeks if we’re going off ovulation but everyone’s telling me to go off of my period. I’m so confused and I’m also really worried that my pregnancy isn’t progressing! I just wondered if anyone else has had this problem and been ok? I have another scan tomorrow to see if we can see anymore but surely if I’m roughly 4 weeks they won’t see anything more then the gestational sac again? I did also have bloods done and my HCG went from 1770 to 4553 in 48 hours

If you're counting from ovulating you need to add two weeks to it to get the gestational age, there's never really an instance where you count straight from ovulation if that makes sense. Do you have irregular periods? It's a good Hcg rise and puts you in the 6 week bracket Hcg level wise.

@Charley see that’s what’s concerning me so if that’s putting me at the 6 week ratio then there should be more than just the gestational sac on the scan. I have been counting from last period (which yes are a little irregular but more like long cycles) which would make me roughly 8 weeks but that’s not consistent with my scan from last week. My scan is putting me around 4 weeks 😫 the gynaecologist said I had a tiny gestational sac and nothing else but my HCG did double so would suggest it’s progressing?

Yep all you can do is go for another scan and wait for progress there I guess, the Hcg is promising so I've got everything crossed for you to see an embryo at the next scan 🙏🩵

You could have just ovulated late not necessarily anything to panic about! I was two weeks behind what I expected but I’m now 37 weeks and baby is doing well! Just take it one step at a time mumma you got this! The early stages are so daunting but it gets better 💕
