Yoto or Tonie?

I’m so torn between the yoto and the tonie box. The tonie looks more child friendly to me, but the Yoto looks like it will last for years. Wanting to get one for my two littles for Christmas, does anyone have either? Is one better than the other? Pros of one over the other? Thank you!!!

We opted for Yoto mini. We've not used it yet as it's a Christmas present, but after doing our research we preferred the look of that. I like that the mini is good for on the move. Gives off Walkman vibes haha. Plus I know with the tonie my son would just keep pulling the figure off to play with 😂

We have a tonie box and it's really rugged, it's been knocked about a little bit and not a scratch on it, it's also super child friendly but, my son doesn't really listen to it and just plays with the characters as toys so I sort of wish I'd got the yoto, as it's just a card he wouldn't play with them and actually listen to it x

I’ve gone for Yoto mini, but it’s for Christmas so haven’t used yet. One of the main reasons is you can control it from your phone (so stop it from another room if they go to sleep with it on), and you can record your own things on both but Yoto is way cheaper for the blank cards than Tonies and they have more storage on!

Ahh thank you all, this is really helpful ☺️ @Jayne ahh yeah that’s a good point - the mini would be good for nights away and the cards much easier to carry than the figures. @Kryssi haha I could see my two pulling the figures off and using them as toys instead! @Chloe ahh no having to sneak in to switch it off, what a brilliant idea! 🙌🏼

Bought the tonie box for my son’s bday and it’s been amazing. I guess it depends on the child but he listens to his when he’s eating his meals and plays really nicely with it on in the background , getting him more tonies for Xmas
