Toddler sleep clocks

I was just curious how many people have used or tried these? I have a 2 year old that has been having a lot of early wake ups and was considering trying one. I have an older child that never needed one of these. So, I wanted to get some feedback before trying one.

We use a sleep clock with our 2 year old and it’s been great. If he wakes up early, he usually plays in his crib or goes back to sleep.

We tried a Gro Clock and it's not worked for us so far. We have the owl one and it drives me absolutely bonkers that you're supposed to put the owl to bed at night. It's a bloody nocturnal animal! Same with putting the star to bed. Annoys me no end. That's my product design background speaking though 😂

We’ve got the Hatch sound machine (that we mainly use for the light). It’s pricy but I like that you can set different timers/lights/brightness etc. We started using it around 18 months, would have it off all night as she slept in complete darkness. Then when she would wake up, just before going into her room, I’d set it to green. Then make a point of showing her it was green and time to get up. Then after a few months, I’d set it so that red would come on maybe an half hour before her normal wake time, then again change to green once it was time to get up. When she was 3 she started asking for a night light so now it stays on red all night (red for bed) and she’s not allowed to leave her room until it goes green. If I see her wake up early and no chance of going back to sleep, I change it to yellow, which she knows means she can get up and play in her room if she wants. It has worked for the most part, but she was always a good sleeper.

Thanks Ladies! My daughter isn’t a good sleeper. But, I was hoping something like this may help to let her know when it’s the appropriate time to wake up. She has a nice nightlight and sound machine, but I was thinking something with the visual may help her out. Sometimes she is up In the night and I will hear her narrating her books in the recliner chair in her room. Other times she is wide eyed at 4am and ready to start the day. I think I am going to get one and hope for the best.
