Calpol

My daughter spent the last hour screaming and would hardly settle, definitely wouldn't nap. I wondered if she was teething as she has been drooling excessively and having very mucus poo all week. I tried her with calpol and she was asleep within 10 minutes, does that mean that she must have been in some discomfort? Or would it not work that fast and just a coincidence?

The exact same happened to me today so I’d also love to know the answer! Cried and screamed all day, pulling at her mouth, mucus poo and lots of drooling.

It's so sad isn't it! If it is her teeth I'm not sure how often I should be giving calpol. I guess just when she has screaming fits like today?

my girl was the exact same a couple of weeks ago, it was worse in the evening so i would give her some just before her bottle but would only give her half if that of the recommended 2.5 ml x

Calpol is magic! My toddler usually perks up within 10 minutes of taking it. My baby hates it, I managed to get some into her yesterday and she was sick 10 minutes later, but some must have got into her as she started improving after that dose!
