Baby vomiting

I’m at my wits end here, feel like I’m the only one whose baby just can’t keep anything down😢😢 We’ve been weaning baby for a while he’s 6 months old now and suffered with sick since birth. He’s now on prescribed milk for suspected CMA, thickner. Been on gaviscon, omeprazole. Weaned early thinking with food he’d maybe keep it down as we thought it was just his milk. He’s now bringing up food too. Anyone else’s little one suffering like this? Anything I can do to help. I feel so helpless and ready to have a breakdown 💔

Hi chick! Do not feel alone, I was the same and my baby turned out to have CMA but also has other possible allergies, you will know more when you do a milk challenge, have you done one yet or has he not been on the prescribed milk very long? You will be advised by your feeding specialist (whoever prescribed the milk) when a milk challenge needs to be done x

Also, have you been referred to a nutritionist/dietitian?x

We had the nightmare of figuring CMA out (daughter's now nearly 3 and we think we're passed it - slowly working up the milk ladder without issue). We were prescribed, but only very briefly, used the milk thickener (carobel). It seemed to be making things worse, or maybe I was swayed by online posts of other people saying it made things worse for them. I'd suggest eliminating that though while he gets used to his new prescription milk and whatever foods you're introducing. We started weaning at 4 or 5 months I think - egg was another problem we discovered in time! x

@Erin he’s been on his milk for about 3 weeks. What’s a milk challenge?? He’s been referred to a paediatrician but won’t be til after new year baring in mind they’ve known he’s been like this since birth !! Xx

@Hannah I’ll keep an eye on what’s in his foods, we had to put him on the thickner as he was just bringing the whole bottle of milk up in like a water fountain because it’s that thin. X
