Is it true you have more morning sickness with a girl?

I have a little boy already and never really felt sick while pregnant with him. Now pregnant with number 2 and feel totally awful. Vomiting and wretching, the smallest thing makes me feel sick. Wondering if it’s cos it’s a girl or just cos it’s a different pregnancy!

I only have a girl but I had no sickness/nausea at all with her.

I only have a girl and had absolutely no sickness or symptoms. A little heartburn in the 3rd trimester but that was it.

i only have a boy but my morning sickness was horrible. idk if i can call it morning sickness because it happened all throughout the day and night

I have one of each and the nausea lifted with my girl around week 15/16 and with my boy the nausea lifted week 18 and stopped actually being sick after week 20 with both of them but it did come back towards end of pregnancy again. It was like living life with a constant hangover 🤢

It completely varies. I've had awful sickness with all 3 so far, (due December but do not know gender), with my 2 girls it was severe sickness , and it wasn't just during the morning, every minute, hour of the day!

I was horribly ill when I was pregnant with my girl (angel baby) and even more sick with my boy. Vividly remember puking in my lap on the way to work cause I couldn't even make it to the side of the road 🤣🤣🤣 my smell aversions were worse though and it made me so sick.

I’m pregnant with my 3rd girl and it’s just become worse each pregnancy.

Thanks everyone for sharing! Thinking it just varies with each pregnancy regardless of gender 😂

I only have a girl but had none (a tiny bit of queasiness/ aversions). My cousin has two boys and had severe morning sickness with both.

I had a boy and I puked up every meal and snack, I went down to 7 stone :( I think every pregnancy is different

I only have girls and had 0 sickness with both, just nausea

I was ill for 9 months with my son being sick all the time but when i was sick i felt better this time im sick lots and feel sick constant and its a girl x

I have 2 boys. Currently 32 weeks pregnant with baby #2 and it’s worse this time around with this pregnancy.

I have 2 boys. I had almost no morning sickness at all with my first and borderline HG level sickness with my second. I have heard of people who experience a definite correlation for themselves personally (my sister has had 2 of each and had very consistent differences in symptoms between genders) but not everyone does and it's not a universal thing, more like some people's individual bodies happen to respond a certain way.

I only have a daughter but I throw up almost 8months on top of all the other horrible symptoms. Pregnancy was difficult to say the least. Everyone kept telling me “it’s cause it’s a girl, girls suck the life out of you” but I don’t believe it, I’m sure it’s different for everyone.

I only have a boy but the morning sickness was HORRIBLE. I couldn’t even keep down water some days and could only take a few bites of a saltine.

Oh girl. I have 2 boys and I did have some morning sickness with them but this lil girl is KILLING me. Its not everyday but once a week I get the absolute worst morning sickness ever, I throw up all day long can't keep down water or even saltine crackers and I have an enormous headache on top of that. Other days it's just nausea but it was never this bad with my boys!

For me morning sickness was somewhat worse with my girl only because I threw up more, but with my boy smells and sounds will make me nauseas. I don’t usually feel sick anymore, but some sounds will still make me want to throw up and I’m almost to the 3rd trimester.

Yes definitely had worse sickness with my girl

@Ophelia I get so weak when people say that because it’s not called morning sickness because it only happens in the morning. It’s because before women would wake up out of their sleep to throw up it’s like the throw up was saying good morning.

@Day i did not know that. that’s crazy and actually makes a lot of sense. thank you for telling me this i love it
