Extra scans

I have a growth scan at 32 and 35 weeks. Has anyone else? I'm scared because last time I had one at 38 weeks nearly 39 and they wanted to induce me so fingers crossed I won't this time

Yes I'll be having extra growth scans. Trying to see it as a positive and just extra opportunities to see little one 😊

I have extra growth scans also :)

Induction is just a suggestion on their part. Ask them the risks of you don’t agree to be induced. Ask them for all the facts and know you have the right to say, no thanks. They seem so quick to induce. They want to control a situation that you should be in control of.

@Gaby I know the risks would be emergency c section like last time 😭. Thats why I'm so against it this time. I'll be refusing induction. Unless the baby really needs to come out I will just say I'd rather have a c section. If all my scans are fine I'm going to try for a vbac x

That’s the risk to your delivery. What’s the risk to the baby if they don’t induce?

I have one booked for 32 weeks too. I'm grateful they are doing extra monitoring

@Gaby I don't know what the risk would be that's why I'd say to just give me a section. I just know been forced to give birth it won't do it again

@Laine me too 💓

But they (your doctor) should know the risk. Otherwise why would they suggest induction at all? I say this from experience as I had growth scans in my last pregnancy and they tried to force me into an induction but I told them (after a bad experience with my previous birth that was induced) that I wasn’t being induced until I understood why and what the risks were if I refused. This meant a consultant sitting me down and explaining things to me so that I could make an informed decision rather than be pushed down an avenue I hadn’t planned for.

@Gaby 100% agree with you. Have to wait until the time comes to find out what the risk would be. I just know I don't want to get induced as I'm not putting my body through that again for it resulting in a section. That's why if there is a risk and I have to be induced I will say c section please. Do you get what I mean?

Yeah 100%. They just make me angry with how quickly they go to induce. The one time I agreed to it I was told afterwards by a specialist that it was unnecessary and it caused me such a crappy labour experience. I just feel compelled to make sure people know there’s always a choice 😘

@Gaby aww exactly how I feel about it too. My consultant was saying why are you so scared of getting induced. Because it was bad last time I was in the hospital for like 4 days until they broke my waters it was horrendous I'm not doing it again. Thank you so much I hope we both have a great experience this time which ever way our deliveries go 💓

I’ll be having growth scans, I had them last time too and ended up being induced at 37 weeks but there was no need for it because he was a fine weight and not small like they said!

@Ella same as me, I got induced because they said she had stopped growing she was 6.13 completely healthy

I will be refusing this time unless absolutely necessary
