Reduced movements

Getting stressed about movements. Normally when I put my toddler to bed the baby kicks like there's no tomorrow but he didn't. I ate some m&ms and felt like he did tiny flutters buy not the big ones he normally does. Didn't feel him kick in the night or when I've got up like he normally does. I've got no one to have my toddler while I go to triage and I'm balling my eyes out

I would try not to worry too much, I know it's difficult but it seems that all of our babies are pretty quiet at the moment going on a few of these posts iv seen, I'm totally the same. It's worrying and defo worth a call to your midwife if it's upsetting you, but I'm sure they will comfort you and it's great that you can still feel him even if it's different now, do you know where your placenta is? I have an anterior and some days I don't feel her at all it must be the way she's laying, please don't get yourself upset just call around and see what information different people can give you 🩷 I think they say there's not an actual pattern untill around 28 weeks

This happened me 2 weeks ago and I called my midwife and they had me come in straight away and heartbeat was still there so don't panic! Can you call your midwife and see if they can see you? I was also panicking as usually feel her kick after dinner/at bed but last night it was very faint. But all through the night she was kicking every time I woke up! Try drinking something ice cold or really sugary again as well. The midwife told me it can sometimes feel more faint depending on what way baby is lying so please don't think the worst, but if you can get a check do as it'll put your mind at rest 🩷

I’ve had this and saw my midwife, heartbeat still there! They told me he could just be facing the other way and kicking into my back hence not feeling him. It’s definitely worth a call if you’re that concerned/worried about it

My little one has been very quiet too. I’m 22 weeks and I have an anterior placenta so depending on what position she is in, I don’t often feel big kicks. 😢 I’m forever worrying about if she’s ok.

It’s likely his position. I found quieter days were when he was facing inside so kicks were more internal but if you are concerned, speak to midwife/triage

Thanks everyone, I have a posterior placenta so feels weird not to feel him. She listened to his heart and was happy she said he's just in a very awkward position so that's probably why I can't feel him

I don’t think they’ll be classed as ‘reduced’ at 23 weeks as baby’s movements can still be very up and down and not a consistent pattern yet. Try not to worry but you can always call your midwife tomorrow and ask to go in to hear baby’s heartbeat? I’ve done that a few times and it’s been very reassuring. Easier said than done trust me I know but please try to not worry baby is still quite small at the moment too they could’ve buried down into your uterus all snug which could explain the movements. It’s not for a few more weeks that were asked to keep track. Always a message away for any advice if I can help! We’re all in this together 💖
