Hey! For us, a solid bedtime routine was everything—same steps every night: bath, feed, story, and dim lights. Also, keeping the room cool and dark worked wonders. I used Babies Magic Tea Gripe Water before bedtime to help with any tummy issues, and that really helped my little one sleep longer. Spacing out naps during the day and making sure the last wake window was just right was key too! Consistency is everything!

We implemented a bedtime routine very early on. During the week when I work (hubby works twilight shift so isn’t home to help) it’s basically straight into the shower (so I can get that out the way for myself at the same time), then he gets dressed for bed, has a bottle, we have a little bit of a quiet (as quiet as an almost 9mo can be I guess) play, then as soon as he starts rubbing his eyes he’s put into his sleep sack and it’s off to bed. He no longer wants to be cuddled to sleep, so he now puts himself to bed but sometimes needs a little bit of a pat or a hand to hold until he gets settled and drifts off. He does occasionally wake during the night for a feed, often a dummy puts him straight back to sleep, but sleeps through more often than not.

Finding what helped him naturally self soothe best was our big hack. For our son having fabric to suck on is his. So having a receiving blanket to suck on means he'll be able to self soothe. Has been that way since 2 months old. Only ever used 100% cotton ones and only the thin kind so it not a suffocation hazard (or at least as reduced as physically possible). And he's slept through the night (sleep regressions excepted) ever since, now almost 11 months old

Thank you😊😊 @Samah @Trish @Tagmayne what about any night wakings (ex. for feed or comfort) how do you handle those?

Once he got big enough he started dropping those on his own. He doubled his birth weight by around 2 months and that's when he started sleeping 8-10 hours at a time. He now sleeps 13-15 hours solid at 11 months
