Baby weeing too much?

My girl can pee up to 4-6 times one after the other after a feed. While I’m changing her she often does another wee on the mat once I take the nappy off and the air hits. No sooner have I got the fresh nappy on and walk back downstairs from her changing mat, she can be screaming again and she’s done another wee! It’s got to the point now that me and her just chill on the changing mat because I’d rather not waste another nappy or waste time dressing her back up again just to restart 5 mins later. On her evening feed 6-7pm she’s worst, she has me and my husband doing so many nappy changes it takes over an hour to finally be done. It’s such a process. When I’m out and she’s had a bottle I can be back and forth like a ping pong to the baby changing area until it’s safe to leave the cafe/shop. It doesn’t help that she will not tolerate a wet nappy, she will not just fuss but scream the house down and it goes right through me. The line doesn’t even change blue sometimes because it’s such tiny tinkle but her reaction is the same. She’s 7 weeks old so I know baby’s go through a lot of nappies but this feels like it’s becoming a thing. She doesn’t do this on a night thankfully 🙏 Anyone the same? Is this normal??

I would talk the pediatrician, could be an infection or something else.

If I remember correctly, the kidneys / bladder don’t work so well for the first few weeks so they wee very frequently and it’s very diluted & clear. Peeing during nappy changes is common. You don’t need to change her every wee though. Get some pampers as they are very absorbent and keep the skin dry so they don’t have the wet nappy feel and bother the baby as much

Just to add - If she’s crying a lot, I wonder if maybe she could have a UTI, maybe it stings when she wees. Might be worth taking her for a same-day GP appointment if you’re worried

I second talking to her doctor incase it's something, but I always wipe a wet wipe across the top of my son's diaper to try and get him to pee before changing his diaper, and he rarely pees during changes since starting that. Maybe that trick could make your situation slightly better

When my LO was younger he weed a lot and he didn’t like sitting in it in the nappy so I did have to change every hour or 30 miniutes but I guess it depend how much they are drinking so obviously they will be peeing a lot and he peed on me a lot 😂 but if u think it’s stinging her take her to gp but my LO did this and was a healthy baby they said
