My first had it and it went away by itself by about 6 months. They usually don’t do anything anymore and wait till the child is 3 or 4 years. If unsure, always ask your pediatrician :)

This is very common and typically resolves within the first year! Definitely have the pediatrician keep an eye on it to know if surgery is required but that’s not always the case 🙂

My 2 1/2 year old had one and required surgery when she was 6 months old. It was terrifying as a parent but she was completely fine and recovered easily.

My baby has one, when her umbilical cord fell off it didn’t fall all the way off so I had to take her to her pediatrician, she cauterized it. There was no pain, it was a five minute visit, and it’s much better now but it still pokes out. Her pediatrician said we’ll wait until shes about 4 to do something about it, if it doesn’t resolve on its own
