Not sure where you’re located but here in Sydney if you go to the pharmacy you can get wipes specifically for their eyes and eye drops. Ask the pharmacist. My little man got conjunctivitis when. He was about 8 months and we were able to clear it in just a couple of days. Massive improvement the moment we started using the drops
It’s common for babies to have weepy eyes, and it’s often caused by a blocked tear duct rather than conjunctivitis, especially if there’s no redness or irritation. You can clean his eye gently using a cotton wool ball with cooled, boiled water—wipe from the inner corner outward, and use a fresh cotton ball for each wipe to avoid spreading any potential infection. Don’t feel bad! This happens a lot with babies, and you’re doing the right thing by addressing it quickly. Keep an eye on it, and if it gets red or there’s more discharge, it’s always good to check in with your Dr
Thank you everyone ☺️ it was a little shock to wake up too when he was fine when I put him to bed. Going to clean it throughout the day today and keep an eye on it. Luckily I have my 6 week PP check tomorrow with the doctor so I will bring it up then unless it gets worse today and I have to have it seen today
Could just be a clogged duct .. very common . I would just put a warm compress on it a 3 times a day and see if it gets better !
