Im an unschooling mompreneur of 4 and online student. We're home all day every day. We get out into the yard when it's nice. It was beautiful in PA today. I take time to meditate, journal and read. I like to do Qi Gong and work on my online businesses. Other than that I'm hanging out with the kids all day. I get the going to work and it kind of being like a break. I haven't worked a job besides my online businesses since March 2020

I like to make different baby foods especially seasonal baby food. The most recent one I made was pumpkin which was fun.

You donā€™t drive? I cannot be a sahm unless Iā€™m able to have my independence and freedom to drive and see and go anywhere I want. I canā€™t do meetups and plan things w other sahm if I donā€™t drive and that will make me go insane and I canā€™t rely on someone picking me up every time. Weā€™re out most days. If I canā€™t drive and take my baby out Iā€™d rather work (but I still need to drive to work?) unless you used to take transport when you did work? Iā€™m chatting to a lovely mum on here but sheā€™s only been here 2yrs from Dubai and canā€™t drive (understandably, new here) so our first meet I offered to go to a walkable park near hers or the local shopping centre for brunch (which is quite big) but I canā€™t imagine how Iā€™m going to meet her other places unless we always do that, or Iā€™ll eventually come to hers for coffee I guess.

Girl I feel it. I live in AZ, and the mosquitoes are absolutely horrible this year. We canā€™t go outside without getting swarmed, plus itā€™s still hot and miserable outside, and all we have is little sharp rocks and stickers as a back yard. We live 30 minutes from town and my husband and I share a car currently so he takes it for work and I donā€™t want to have to wake us all up at 5:30am to drive him to work or school just to have to stay out all day. It sucks staying inside all the time. I grew up in NorCal and was always in the forest or beach. I miss it so much. Az makes me so depressed and I canā€™t wait til we can move far away. And we live in a neighbor hood that mostly consists of old people so the closest park to us is a 30 min walk up hill on the main road, no sidewalks here šŸ˜ So weā€™re stuck inside all the time. I have no motivation anymore, Iā€™ve turned into a couch potato. And my oldest is starting to and it makes me so sad. But everytime she goes outside here, she gets bite.

By the mosquitoes, which she gets allergic reactions to so they blow up on her. We canā€™t catch a break. Sorry rant/vent session over but I just fell the same. Itā€™s hard

@Destiny try making some of your own bug spray. You can use vanilla extract and water and it keeps the mosquitoes away, doesnā€™t smell bad, and wonā€™t hurt your skin. Itā€™s been working for me so far

@Natalie Iā€™ve tried 3 different homemade versions! I swear this mosquitoes are on crack or something. Theyā€™re huge here too. Itā€™s like living in the Amazon.

Girl I feel that... I been a SAHM for 8 months now and some days I lose it I'll go the bathroom and just cry other times I look at my daughter and see how much she's accomplished in those 8 months. I play with my daughter, right now she wants to stand and walk so I'm helping her with that, I'm also helping her learn how to use a straw. It's easy for us SAHM to lose ourselves because being inside all the time is bad for our mental health but try to make a list of what you have to do and what you want to do the night before so you don't have so much on your brain.

I would say make a plan to go back to work if you know it's what's best for your mental health. Even if others disagree or most of your paycheck will go to daycare, your mental health is most important to be there for your child and family.
