When do we start using conditioner on our kids?

My 1 year old has curly hair(I do not so it’s new for me) and after his baths his hair feels a little dry and it knots. Is 1 too young to use conditioner?

I started the LCO method around 13 months using the shea moisture baby products

I started using it when little man had enough hair, around 6 months

Once my son started getting curls, I got baby conditioner and just make sure to rinse really well. There's also leave in conditioner you can spray on, I dilute that

Okay definitely need to get some!! I didn’t realize you could start to early.

I would keep hair washing to once or twice a week if possible - keep those natural oils in 👍🏻

@Kash hey just so you know my family nurse told me straight up not to use Johnson’s because they use alcohol, she said they get away with saying they don’t because they use products with it instead of using it straight. I’ve seen a lot of posts about it bleaching kids skin. I’ve gotten the exact same thing from my little coco tho and they have different scents aswell. Also for everyone I highly recommend nalas baby soaps and oils they range from 97-99% natural and the big bottles last ages! The conditioner has stopped my boys hair from getting super frizzy at the back.<3

I use a leave in conditioner because washing hair stresses my toddler out.
