My mom used one of these on me when I was little and I feel like it was a great idea! I ran into traffic when I was like 3 lmao anyways I think it’s better to prevent an accident from happening.
If you feel it would ease your anxiety, do it and don’t care what other people might think or say. I have a similar one but I haven’t had to use it. My boy stopped pulling away from us for the most part. But if we went somewhere like the zoo, I’d probably use it.
I have a similar thing for my runner toddler. Totally recommend it! We only use in crowded places where my attention is limited and I feel the need for it. And when not needed you just take the leash part out - win win.
Honestly, I always think, better safe than sorry. My oldest was a runner at the age of 2 and more than once, she pulled away from us in a crowd and we'd find her just hanging out and chatting it up with total strangers. We decided at that point that we had to do something to stop her. You may get some looks or comments if you use these devices, but what you do to keep your child safe is no one else's business. Do what you gotta do.
