Ob appointment

I am 33 weeks and I go to ob for follow up every two weeks. My appointments are super short, basically 2 mins, just heartbeat and short ultrasound. Is it the same for you? It is little bit annoying to me, it is my first pregnancy and I would like my doctor to talk to me more about it. ☹️

I usually go with 2-3 questions and at my 32 week appointment we went over my birth plan in depth and talked about the hospital standard practices

mine are the same except no ultrasound. if you have questions for them definitely ask, they always seem happy to answer in depth at mine!

@Anjie I always feel rushed and like I don’t have time to ask. He doesn’t even ask how I feel.. last app was two weeks ago and I asked about weight, he said 4lbs, today he said around 4lbs and I was like that was two weeks ago, is everything ok. He said 4lbs and ‘few’ ounces. That just made me worried and I am becoming so anxious as it gets closer to due date😣

An ultrasound?! I wish. Blood pressure, my weight, heartbeat, bye😂 But if you have a healthy pregnancy that’s all you need

@Maggie yes, I have ultrasound every two weeks, but I can not see much as it is really quick. Not sure what the point is honestly 🙄

I definitely feel you. I literally just fo for the heartbeat at this point but i have a doppler at home😂🥲

@Maggie I was driving 20 min, looking for parking for 20 minutes, waited in waiting room for half an hour just so I can have 2 min appointment 🙄

I don’t even get ultrasound 😭 I get heartbeat and fundal height, and I wasn’t even seen by my actual doctor, got an NP whose bedside manner honestly sucked. Hopefully this next appointment on Halloween goes better

@Tara my appointment also on halloween🥲 i spend more time getting there most of the time so i hang out around the hospital and get food or what not lol

it takes me 2 hours public transport or 20$ to uber(i don’t have a car) so i go out to eat so it’s worth my time

i’m 32 weeks and i only get heartbeat, BP, and weight done however my doctor takes her time to answer any questions and concerns i have since it’s my first little one which puts me at ease.. although it’s your last trimester see if you’re able to switch to an OB that don’t make it seem like he’s only doing it to be paid

I have been gling every other week also. My ongyn takes great care of listening to all and any concerns i have. But if it was up to her she too does not have much to say

34 weeks and I’ve been going every 2 weeks too. They just ask if I have concerns, check baby’s heartbeat with a Doppler and that’s it lol the only reason I don’t mind the appointments is because they check my blood pressure. Preeclampsia terrifies me so I’m glad they always check for that
