I think I’m not on mine a lot but then my screen time report comes in and it says I’m on it at least 8 hours a day. I’m like, hoooow. But it’s everything. Every doctors appointment, every time I need to check a calendar, meal planning, grocery shopping, checking emails, checking business hours, turning music on, and all of that comes before any past times like reading or watching a show. I hate it.
Way too much. I hate it so much. It takes so much out of us.
Around 4 hours daily which is too much. But I’m on maternity leave. When I go back to work I don’t have time for that. When I feel like I’ve been on my phone too much or just don’t want to be on it, I leave it in another room and forget about it altogether.
I think i have a screen time issue. I need to get away from my phone
I feel like this too. I keep thinking if I bought myself a watch and a camera maybe I would be on my phone less. I want to leave my phone in the other room but then my kid does something cute and I have to sprint to grab it to take a photo.
@Hallie the camera idea is actually pretty genius.
Probably less than an hour? I don’t use the screen time thingy that tells you how much. But between taking care of my son, working fulltime, and everything else life requires, I just don’t have time for my phone.
@Hallie i have an apple watch and my husband and i both have film cameras and other cameras on display in the house so we use those :) it really does help
Glad I’m not the only one… I find myself on my phone so often now… my daughter is at that age where she’s starting to play independently so I just sit and before I know it an hour has passed and I’m still on my phone! I’m thinking of trying to go phone free for a while. I need a purge!
All the time. But I use the kindle app the most so I’m reading for at least half the time I’m on my phone.
My screen time is ridiculous, it's definitely an addiction for me 🤦🏻♀️
Getting/ doing hobbies that bring me joy and reading books I like have helped with screen-time. My husband and I also set some expectations of not being on our phone by our baby, when eating, hanging out, or visiting friends. Sometimes I regress, but then I re-establish those boundaries with myself. Setting timers also helps❤️
@MJ_xo I need to do that. I kinda want to get a flip phone but I’m always taking pictures with my phone.
@Hallie I kinda want to get a flip phone and a camera. Maybe a clock on the wall and a smart watch with just my calendar. Idk it’s just getting in the way of being a present parent these days.
Im always on my phone but my husband is neverrrr on it. Sumtimes I give him my phone so I can b screen free💆🏻♀️
