Some ‘next to me’ advice

Hiya! I need some advice from some mums.. my LO is just over 3 months and is wriggling all the way up his next to me through the night, to the point his head is touching the top. He’s quite tall as it is so he’s not much room in the next to me anymore… it’s only over the last week or so he’s been doing this? Do I move him to his cot? He’s so young still… I’m a little nervous 😬

If he’s wriggling his way to the top, then he’s likely to do that in a cot as well, I would wait until he’s outgrown the next me.

Wait until he's grown out of the next to me.

I had the exact convo with the HV last week as my LO is tall. They said put the sides up and only move her out when she has totally grown out of it. Woke up the other night and was horizontal 😂

My little boy was doing this and it caused it to swing which was waking him up (it’s the oyster swinging next to me and it has no lock. This bed is supposed to last till 1 as drops into a cot. Not sure how when there was about 5-10 cm above his head). We moved him to his cot at 11 weeks but moved it to our room next to the bed where his next to me was so they’re isn’t a drastic difference it’s just a different bed in place. Since changing him we’ve found he’s sleeping so much better. He’s dropped a feed in the night and sleeping longer stretches, seems happier in general x

My little boy is nearly the same length as his next to me, I'll be putting his cot in my room during the October half term so my brother can come to help me 👌
